There is a myth that eyelash extensions will ruin your natural eyelashes. With the correct techniques regarding application and choosing the right sizes for your natural lashes, they will not get ruined. However, some clients tend to pick out/pull off their extensions causing their natural eyelashes to fall out prematurely. This will delay the eyelash growth cycle and leave a gap along the lash line which may cause you to think your natural lashes are "ruined". Your eyelashes will grow back -- it just may take extra time.
The typical eyelash growth cycle is 3-4 months long, but every eyelash is at a different stage of the growth cycle and will fall out one by one as time goes by with your extension attached. I recommend you come in for a fill every 2-3 weeks if you want to keep your eyelash extensions full.
With 6 years experience in the industry, I have not come across any negative reactions from my clients that wear contacts during the service. I still recommend you wear your eyeglasses to your appointment, but it is optional for you to wear your contacts during your service to your discretion.
